Football teams from Kisii County have reportedly pledged to boycott all Fkf Nyanza Regional league Zone A matches until there grievances are addressed.

According to some clubs officials,they are raising complains over mismanagement in the league citing favoritism towards teams from Nyamira County over those from Kisii region.

One example, Benard a team manager at Geturi Fc argues that their match against Nyansiongo township which was abandoned in first half at 19th minute was in a barren draw , despite this Nyansiongo were awarded three points later after a hearing, which he says was unfair.

As per the table standing on a night of Sunday 23rd June 2023 ,Jenga Talanta Mosora Fc was leading with 49 points from 21 matches , followed by Global Connection with a total of 45 points. However,by the next morning Nyansiongo township previous at fourth place had moved to the top having 50 points from 22 matches, Global Connection took position two while Mosora Fc dropped to the third position.

The table standing has now raised alot of concerns resulting to teams questioning the Change done. Dominic Marube Mosora Fc representative says that the team never received a letter concerning the changes done something they have termed to be null and void on their side.

The zone was to have mid-week and weekend matches,which the teams argue not to participate until they get a response from the responsible offices

Fkf Kisii county secretary general Mageka in a press briefing called upon a swift action to be taken in ensuring fair treatment of all teams in the league. He further pointed Instances where teams like Geteni Fc from Nyamira county have issued a total of three walkovers arguing they should face a penalty of relagation from the league.

The unanswered question now remains still as Kisii County teams wait for the response from Fkf Nyanza Regional league office to continue the matches and restore trust in the competition.
